Our Approach to your timber building project

The first step to manufacturing your timber building is visiting the site where garden office, pool house, garden room, timber framed garage or summer house is to be erected. Following this, Wood Constructions will prepare sketched plans to ensure that your new garden building will add to its' environment.

Tight access, unaccommodating geography and listed buildings are just some of the issues we take in our stride. These factors combined with the locality of your prospective timber building in relation to its surroundings, are all elements that we consider during the design process.

Wood Constructions can tackle all of your design and building criteria with the minimum of fuss leaving you with a beautiful addition to your property which will meet or exceed your expectations.

With detailed plans, it is possible to grasp how your timber building will look when work is complete. All measurements are checked with features specified to ensure that there will be no technical issues once work begins. With careful planning and detailed sketches, and we can ensure that when work begins on your project we will cause the minimum of disruption.

The plans take into account the local surroundings, any design ideas you may specify and other issues such as access. An all important part of the design phase is establishing your fixtures, fittings and the finish you would like on your timber building such as the type of tile required.

Once the plans have been approved, work starts. The timbers are cut to fit your building as required, some standard sizes may be used although non-standard lengths of materials are common place when manufacturing a bespoke timber building.
